Tup Fair

It's not long now to the Tup Fair at the Woolpack!

Hand Shearing Video Added

A video showing part of the hand shearing competition from 2016 has been added tpo the site front page. You can view it here.

As usual, any comments welcome!

Time-lapse Added

At the 2016 show we set up a couple of cameras at the main gate and overlooking the sheep pens. The pictures from these cameras have been complied into a short time-lapse video which has been added to the front page of the web site. This is the first time we have done anything like this and it was a bit of an experiment so apologies if the quality isn't quite up top BBC standards - we'll get better in 2017. We would welcome and feedback on the video and suggestions for different camera angles we coud use - please bear in mind though that additional camera angles require additional cameras and our resources aren't infinite.

Hope you enjoy it.

Flickr Gallery Now Live

You may not have noticed that at the bottom of the web-site pages there is a Flickr photo gallery. This is now up and running and pictures that we recieve will be added to this gallery.

The small images show the latest pictures added but hter will be a lot more. You can see the gallery direct on Flickr here.

Herdwick on TV

There was an excellent piece on BBC Countryfile yesterday (12th Feb). If you missed it watch it on iPlayer. The team did an excellent job of raising the profile of the breed and the area.
